扒哥黑料鈥檚 Social Justice Institute will host a three-day Think Tank event centered around the theme 鈥淎 Balm for What Ails Us: Respect. Renew. Reimagine.鈥 The events will take place Thursday and Friday evenings, Oct. 27鈥28, and during the day on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The goal of the event is to provide space to envision what liberation looks like for communities marginalized by oppressive systems today and throughout history.
Health profession students may find particular interest in Saturday鈥檚 panel discussion, 鈥淐ommunity Health and Liberation.鈥 Panelists include writer, editor and strategist Kenyon Farrow, speaking on "Beyond Tuskegee: Towards a Racial Justice Agenda for Public Health in the 21st Century;" Jessie Hill, the Judge Ben C. Green Professor of Law and associate dean for research and faculty development at Case Western Reserve鈥檚 School of Law speaking on "Reproductive Justice and Rights in a Post-Roe World;" and Da'na Langford, CEO and medical director of Village of Healing Cleveland, an organization that addresses racial disparities in maternal and infant health.
All events are free and open to the public and will take place at Tinkham Veale University Center.
